About Chophouse & Brewery

Cleveland ChopHouse & Brewery takes you back in time to the casual elegance of the 1940's. A relaxed, yet regal atmosphere with friendly, professional service and a diverse menu featuring legendary steaks, chops, seafood, and other unmistakable ChopHouse fare. Handcrafted ales, brewed on site, small batch bourbons and a fine array of single-malt scotches all add to the ChopHouse tradition.

You'll find the comfortable, warm-wooded restaurant filled with a crowd as diverse as it's menu, there for a special occasion or a casual gathering. The nostalgic feel, including the sounds of Big band 30's and 40's music coupled with a current menu with generous portions gives the ChopHouse its approachable, yet upscale contemporary style. We feature private and semi-private party facilities. Brewery tours are also available upon request.

Favorite happy hour

Posted by jbm10 on 5/18/2009

This is my favorite place in Cleveland for happy hour. You get $3 tall mugs of their own beer and their apps are half price. Two people can share the chicken fingers. Dinner on the other hand can be quite pricey and the food isn't always the best. I came here for Cleveland Restaurant Week and I was disappointed. The food wasn't that good and it would have been cheaper to just order off the menu. But, that's why I only go for happy hour now.

It puts a smile on my face

The first time i have ever gone to Cleveland Chop house, i was skeptical as i can never seem to find that "perfect steak". i ordered the filet, with the wild turkey wiskey sauce, med rare. WOW. i took one bite and i couldnt help but smile. Others have tried to get me to go to other places, mortons, jonnies etc, but i cant. if im going downtown for a steak, im going to the cleveland chop house. Nothing can compare.

Not worth the money

Posted by lovemesomegrub on 7/4/2008

For a place that is all about their overpriced steaks, both my date and I were extrememly dissapointed at the meal quality. We both ordered two steaks and they were awful. They were extremly dry and hard to eat. They had no flavor at all. The only upside to this place is the atmosphere.

Excellent Sunday Brunch Service

Posted by ClevelandLady on 5/18/2008

I made reservations originally for 4 people for a Sunday brunch. The host on the phone was friendly. I called back a week later to enlarge the party to 7. The host wasn't sure if we could be comfortably accommodated and called me back immediately after speaking with a manager. I appreciated her taking the time to do that. Overall, the Sunday brunch buffet was great. Plenty of options to choose from but not too many that the quality of food suffered. Our group had no complaints. Our server was friendly, efficient and very accommodating.

Innovative Yet Tried & True!

Love this place - even better than Morton's and Ruth's Chris. They have more innovation in their menu and bar drinks. Great setting.
